After several years working in retail management and creating a small private cooking business, I completed the Chef's Training Program at the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York City. It was this experience that confirmed my career goals of educating consumers about how our consumption choices directly affect the world around us. In October 2006, I founded Green Edge Collaborative in New York city as a means to achieve my goals. "Green Edge NYC" is now a well-established organization and I've recently begun to plan seeds for growth of more Green Edge chapters.
Knowing the importance of a formal education, but too distracted by "real life", I returned to the classroom and completed a Bachelor of Science from The New School in May 2009, focusing my study on social enterprise. I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Kentucky and am happy to be returning to my roots.
