Let's give myspace and facebook real competition by social networking with purpose...
Founded and Created by: James Thomas aka Jaymz Nylon aka Eco Hustler.

I woke up immediately back when Al Gore's film "Inconvenient Truth" was about to drop and at the same time I was trying to get out of my gas guzzling SUV. Being open for something new off I went to the Ford dealership, by the way I have never been into a Ford anything. Damn! a Brotha was blown away after driving the Ford Escape Hybrid. I had to keep my game face on to hide my excitement from the salesman and yes, I did buy the Hybrid right on the spot.

Now I have a custom New York Recycles license plate that says "BLKECO" mad funny, right? I thought you would think so. While making my life more eco-friendly ie; cool black hemp shopping bags, low toilets, eco-lighting, eco friendly clothing, public transportation, recycling, composting, cycling etc... I had to figure out a way to help on a larger scale but up until this point I was torturing family, friends and anyone that would listen to my eco-ego.

So I came up with a social hybrid community bringing together social networking with purpose helping Green become second nature, fun, sexy and cool. And with this new voice in the Green Arena it was only fitting that I create a new alias and the "Eco Hustler" was born.

Peace and look forward to connecting with you...

Eco Hustler, Baby

Thanks for the offer, Eco Hustler! And that's such a great name by the way. In fact, I've thought of something you can do to help me--if you know of people who have a really impossible dream, people deeply committed to sustainability and deeply passionate about doing whatever it takes to provide green alternatives, please put them in touch with me. My workshops and consulting can help people powerfully, and I need to find the people who need me. Thanks again, and happy inauguration day.

I like your style, and for the reminders of how we can contribute on a daily basis. I am looking forward to making the in-person connection. Also, I have high hopes for Ford, glad you found their product worth while. Second to environmental consciousness, I believe in keeping manufacturing in America- gotta stay viable on the world market in more areas than just professional services.

I'm glad you're addressing the issue of race in environmentalism/eco-racism, and like the article on Van Jones. If I can be of service please let me know. I don't spend a lot of time on social networking sites but if you're near Yonkers I'm organzing a green potluck community here, or if you know people in Yonkers. Also somewhat involved in the opening of an art galery in Getty Square in Yonkers that will hopefully also be a gathering place for the community, for arts and production of entertainment the old-fashioned, 0-carbon way.

I especially appreciate that you made signficant changes in your own lifestyle when it sounds like you hadn't been previously as eco-obsessed--or maybe it's uncool?--as us lifetime eco-geeks. It's very important that people who have enough money to buy an SUV be consuming more sustainably, and not just those of us who pretty much couldn't have that kind of carbon footprint if we tried. By spreading this message to cool and trendy people and people who have some money you're making such a big impact, and it's very heartening. All good things,
