On October 10th, a beautiful morning even if the slightly overcast sky and the occasional drips of water threatened more rain, I set out for Prospect Park in Brooklyn. I took part in a group hike through the park with the goal of foraging and learning about foraging in this urban parkscape. The group was led by Leda Meredith, author of "Botany, Ballet, and Dinner from Scratch," as part of Green Edge NYC's urban foraging series.

It was great to meet you last Saturday. I really enjoyed watching your video from foraging. I look forward to seeing you again soon. We have another event coming up the end of Oct. that you may be interested in. It is the Brooklyn Creative League Supper Club. This is a monthly event where people get together to share a potluck style meal and discuss a different sustainability topic. I'm still coordinating our speaker for this month, but it always proves to be a very interesting night. It is on Oct. 26th at 7 pm. Let me know if you think you can make it. If not, we have a few other things in the works so keep an eye on our calendar!
