Kingsborough Community College Urban Farm

The Farm, operated in partnership with Active Citizen Project, is an organic, high-yield, year-round production site. The Farm provides students with urban farming expertise and knowledge about building a more sustainable food system. Training through credit, non-credit and workforce development programs emphasizes hands-on experience and practical knowledge. Our goals are to prepare students for careers in the rapidly expanding local food economy and to build a greater understanding of food systems by learning how to grow and harvest food.

Volunteer days for the spring 2012 are Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30PM. To register to the Urban Farm Training Program being offered through Continuing Education call 718-368-5051.  All are welcomed.
