Documentary that reveals the impact of overfishing on our oceans by examining the imminent extinction of bluefin tuna and other popular seafood favorites; the impact on marine life resulting in huge overpopulation of jellyfish; and the profound implications of a future world with no fish that would bring certain mass starvation. The Vision of Wangari Maathai tells the story of Kenya’s Green Belt Movement, a grassroots organization encouraging rural women and families to plant trees in community groups, and follows Maathai, the movement’s founder and the first environmentalist and African woman to win the Nobel Prize. With special guest speaker: Cheryl Blaylock, Director of Education, of Trees New York.
