Vertical Windowfarms are an AMAZING idea! I think I read about them recently also in either ReadyMade or Bust magazine.

Closer than a local farm -- Vertical Windowfarms!

Plus: Daily Candy feature on Windowfarms

Also Eric - I have already been to Sun In Bloom the week you opened. I am really glad to see that the location is still going to be a plant based cafe, though not entirely vegan as I understand it (at least the baked goods were not vegan when I was there opening week). There is a vegan business networking event that I have heard of through NYC Vegan EatUp, a Meetup.com group. If you are interested I can send you info as I will likely attend myself.

Hi Eric & Patricia - thanks for your support and interest! When I have more details about the outpost I will definitely announce. In the meantime, if you or any other members of the group can tell me items they would want to see in a vegan grocery store, I'd welcome your input!

exciting! let me know how I can support. also, I am the new chef at Sun In Bloom, formerly Organic Heights in Park Slope, 460 Bergen St. it may be fruitful to have this discussion with the new owner here, Aimee. I've mentioned the idea before, and she hasn't been to keen, but perhaps if she sees there is community interest...
