Event Description
Brooklyn Contra Dance Party: A Benefit for BK Farmyards
Good old fashioned fun, right here in Brooklyn!
No experience or partner necessary, everyone is welcome! If you can walk, you can contra!
The dance will feature:
Live Music with calling by Dave Harvey (of the NYC Barn Dance)
7pm: Doors open, silent auction begins, refreshment table opens.
7:30pm: Beginner's Contra Dance Lesson
8:00pm: Dancing Begins
Cost: $20 general admission (includes admission to the dance + 1 farm fresh beverage), $17 for students
BK Farmyards:A portion of the proceeds from each ticket to this dance will go towards funding BK Farmyard's summer apprenticeship programs to teach urban farming techniques.
There will also be a silent auction featuring gift certificates to local establishments and other Brooklyn swag!
